REOTEMP Garden and Compost Moisture and Temperature Meter Bundle

The Reotemp MM15 Moisture Meter features a 15-inch long stem with a sensor at the bottom to measure the moisture content of soil or compost. The scale on the meter ranges from 0 to 10, indicating whether the material is "wetter" or "dryer." To calibrate the meter, one must take a sample of the compost or soil, add water until it reaches the "ideal" moisture level, and then adjust the calibration screw on the back of the dial until it reads "5" on the 0-10 scale. This allows the user to easily monitor the moisture level and determine if it is too dry or too wet.

The Reotemp FG20P Backyard Compost Thermometer, on the other hand, takes the guesswork out of composting. With its hermetically sealed dial, reinforced construction, quality bimetal coils, and a thick 1/4-inch diameter stem, the FG20P is built to withstand the rigors of outdoor use. The thermometer measures temperatures ranging from 0 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, enabling the user to know when to turn the compost pile, add more material, water the pile, and determine when the compost is ready.

The bundle includes the Reotemp MM15 Moisture Meter, which has a 15-inch long, 5/16-inch diameter stem and a 0-10 moisture scale. It also includes one AAA battery. The Reotemp FG20P Compost Thermometer has a 20-inch long, 1/4-inch diameter stem and a temperature range of 0 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
