This Oil-Filled Pressure Gauge Offers Significant Advantages. Compared to air-filled gauges, it will operate much more quietly, as water has a tendency to vibrate when running. Additionally, it will last much longer, as the oil in the gauge will absorb the vibrations that can cause excessive wear on air-filled gauges.

Sufficient PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) is crucial for the proper functioning of a reverse osmosis (RO) unit. Low water pressure is a leading cause of poor RO system performance. A pressure gauge ensures that the correct pressure is being supplied. It will also make pressure drops apparent, indicating when sediment and carbon blocks need to be changed.

Glycerin-filled pressure gauges absorb vibration and pressure spikes, increasing their service life. This glycerin-filled pressure gauge comes with 1/4" quick-connect fittings for easy in-line installation before the RO membrane.

Easy Installation: Wrap some plumbing tape around the 1/4" male connection (without tape, it may leak). Assemble the gauge as shown in the photo, then insert your 1/4" tubing into each end of the Tee. Finally, keep the gauge standing upright using Teflon tape or zip ties. To remove, simply push in the outer circle on each end and pull out the tubing.

Multifunctional: This water pressure test kit is primarily used for measuring the water filter pump/holding tank pressure of whole-house reverse osmosis water filtration systems. However, this pressure gauge can also be used for compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, outdoor irrigation pumps, pool pumps, filters, and even beer pressure fermentation.

Notes: 1. The air bubble at the top of the gauge face is normal by design; the gauge is faulty if it is without a bubble. 2. Do not cut the rubber plug on the top of the meter, as this will expose the meter to possible infiltration of particulate contaminants and moisture, as well as allow the glycerin to leak out.
