The Winters PEM series pressure gauge, designed with brass wetted parts, features a circular dial encased in a steel housing and a male connection, measuring pressure with a dual scale (psi/kPa)/(Hg. vacuum/kPa) with an accuracy of +/- 3/2/3%. The brass wetted parts are suitable for non-corrosive liquid and gas pressure measurement. The steel case, painted black, is Ingress Protection certified IP52, providing protection against dust and liquids. The circular dial is available in four diameter sizes: 1.5" (40 mm), 2" (50 mm), 2.5" (63 mm), and 4" (100 mm), with an aluminum black pointer. The lenses for the 1.5", 2", and 2.5" diameter dials are made of polycarbonate for high impact resistance, while the 4" diameter dial features a glass lens for strength and clarity.
The pressure gauge measures pressure with a dual scale, either psi/kPa or Hg. vacuum/kPa, with an accuracy of +/- 3/2/3% over the entire range, meeting the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B40.100 Grade B accuracy class. The male connection, mounted on the bottom or center back of the gauge, has either a 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread) or 1/2" NPT rate. The internal components include a phosphor bronze bourdon tube, a brass movement, and silver alloy welding.
The pressure gauge's over-pressure limit is 25% of the full scale value, and the working pressure is a maximum of 75% of the full scale value. The operating temperature range is -40 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 65 degrees Celsius), making it suitable for a variety of applications, including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, pneumatic, hydraulic, water tanks, and air compressors.
Pressure gauges are essential instruments used to measure the pressure of gases or liquids within a vessel, ensuring the optimal pressure for a given application. These gauges can range from everyday tire or blood pressure instruments to highly accurate ones used in mechanical and industrial processes. Pressure gauges can measure pressure relative to ambient air (gauge pressure), the difference in pressure between two points (differential pressure), or pressure relative to a perfect vacuum (absolute pressure).
Winters Instruments, founded in 1953 and headquartered in Toronto, Canada, is a manufacturer of pressure gauges, thermometers, diaphragm seals, pressure transmitters, and switches, providing reliable and precise pressure measurement solutions.
